I say Guides, you can say Spirit Guides,
Angels, Guardian Angels, ect. It doesn't really matter, a lot of different
traditions give different names to them.
Their purpose is to guide you through
life, and what goes on in-between. Though, I'm sure you are saying
you have never met them, right? And wondering how can they guide you,
when you can't see or hear them? Well, they have their ways. True,
they can't directly speak to most people, the way they can with people
who are spiritually gifted and/or open, but they find ways. They can
talk to you through dreams, or just help you by putting a thought
into your head.
Have you ever felt stuck on a project
and then suddenly had a great idea pop into your head, seemingly out
of the blue? Well, most likely that was them. Or have you ever forgotten
something, and you were trying your darnest to remember, but couldn't,
then suddenly did? Most likely it was them again. I know it's not
like you could hear them telling you the idea or thought, but that
is a way they can guide you.
For those who are more open and can speak
to them directly, life can be more interesting. Well demanding too,
since they like telling you things to do, that will benefit you. And
not all these things are fun or enjoyable. What kind of things? Perhaps
not to eat junk, or to get more sleep, basic things. Though it can
involve more complex things like what kind of work they would like
you to go into too.
Think you would like to talk to yours
more directly? The best way to do that is through meditation. Just
sit still, try to clear your mind, and relax. You can have the intent
of talking to them, but they may not always talk back. You may not
hear anything, and they may not reply for quite sometime. By sometime
I mean days, weeks, months, or even years, and I don't expect anyone
doing it straight. Just take sometime everyday to meditate (5 - 10
minutes, or more)..
Your guides could decide to speak to
you through visions too. They may not seem like anything, but could
have a deeper meaning or have some relevance to your life. It can
be hard to tell sometimes.
