Stronger
Written 7/11/99

You gotta stay strong,
yes you can, doesn't matter how long.
They wanna pull ya down,
steal your smile with a frown.
But I know something they don't,
will you break, no you won't.
It doesn't matter what they do,
because I believe in you.
Let them knock you down,
if you fall, they'll still be the ones acting like a clown.
And what if they try to kick you, while yer on the ground,
let them try, they'll soon feel the bite of the hound.
No matter how much they try to cause you hurt,
and how many times they try to make you feel less then dirt.
You won't break, no you won't, yer too strong,
doesn't matter how long.
I can see it,
to me, your inner strength is no secret.
But they are clueless and blind,
they're too busy trying to be unkind.
They have no life,
that'd why they use words on you, like a knife.
But you won't give in,
and soon they'll have to pay for their sin.
They'll see how you truly are, stronger,
and they'll be the ones to break, be no longer.
Because they'll know what I already do,
that the one whose strong, isn't them, but you.
