Please Don't Cry
Written 6/25/99

Please don't cry,
I know you're hurt, and want to die.
But you gotta see, I'm here for you,
you just need to believe, that I'm true.
You've trusted, even called some a friend,
then you got stabbed in the back, your trust coming to an end.
So now you wish to be alone,
and have the threads of your life, no longer sown.
But you're a special gift, to the world and me,
I just wish you could believe, and see.
Happier times are coming, but you don't care,
I bet deep down inside you do, so look, I dare.
You don't need to be afraid,
once you find it, you'll have it made.
I know, I use to be there,
and things will never improve, until you care.
It'll still hurt, when others use words to cause pain,
but you'll never again feel shame.
Because you'll know they are just lies,
then they'll stop, after no longer seeing your cries.
It'll be too much, you say,
but you'll make it, I'll be there everyday.
Whenever you need a friend,
you can come to me, I'll be here, even after the end.
So please wipe your tears, and stop wanting to die,
because if you were to leave me, I'd be the one to cry.
