Help Untrue
Written 8/1/99

You said you'd always be there,
that you really did care.
But when things got real bad, and I needed you,
I found out your promise was untrue.
I reached out for your offer of help,
only to find it disappear as I fell on my face with a yelp.
Why'd you act so nice,
when your heart is made of ice.
Did you enjoy making me cry,
would you of liked seeing me die.
I can't believe this, I thought I had a good friend,
but you weren't, you took off in the end.
When you needed me, I would have been there,
because I really do care.
As a friend to you, I would of been great,
instead you hurt me, but I feel no hate.
Because that's not my way,
when I feel care, it'll always stay.
And guess what I'll do,
when you need me, I'll still be there for you.
